Napoleon III Period Cameo Pendant With Silver And Gold Crystals
This refined pendant features an oval cameo profile of a woman in antique style, set on a white conch shell against a pink background, framed in engraved gold. A vermeil plaque adorns the back of the cameo.
The silver mount depicts a garland of foliage held by two ribbon bows, entirely set with rose-cut natural crystals, with a garnet at the center of the upper bow. The triangular bail is set with three crystals, bordered in engraved gold, and surmounted by a gold ring.
The ring attached to the bail bears a boar's head hallmark, and the silver and gold have been tested with a touchstone.
In perfect condition, Louis XV style, Napoleon III period, circa 1860.
