Repoussé Silver And Carnelian Bracelet, 1930s
This beautiful bracelet is adorned with five elongated carnelian cabochons of a lovely color, set in intricate and engraved settings. The tapering ends, leading to the clasp, are decorated with repoussé, engraved, and openwork scenes featuring figures, buildings, and vegetation.
The cabochons are gently domed, and the bracelet sits comfortably on the wrist.
Markings on the back, stamped within rectangles, read: "silver" and "made in China." China has been manufacturing and exporting jewelry to the West since 1785! Based on these markings, we date this beautiful bracelet to around the 1930s.
