Limoges Enamel Inkwell, 18th Century, Renaissance Style
This charming rectangular writing accessory with scalloped corners features a removable inkwell and a small powder shaker for drying ink, both housed on top. The inkwell, in the same enamel, has a lead cup.
The enamel is nuanced brown on copper, decorated in grisaille in the Bérain style on the top.
The sides are adorned with leaf motifs and gilt borders.
There is a small restoration on the top right of the inkwell and above the powder shaker, as well as minor firing cracks and wear consistent with its age.
Excellent condition and complete! 18th century.
