“stars Of Saint Vincent” Brooch, 750 Thousandths Gold Setting. Early 20th Century.
Regional work for this 750/1000 gold jewel. On a branch-shaped stem, three stars of Saint Vincent are placed (one large and two smaller). On the back we find a clasp pin. These stars are the fossil stems of a marine organism: the crinoid. They are called "pentacrines". The black of the fossils is very highlighted on the gold frame: mark of a hallmark.
