Kumu Mask, Rdc
Kumu mask from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, height 23 cm, shows signs of wear. I particularly love these very expressive masks, which are almost like art brut. This one is coated with kaolin; it’s somewhat reminiscent of Lega masks, by which they were greatly influenced.
