Borneo Kalimantan Dayak Statue Former Nina Wolmark Collection
Very interesting statue in natural wood, representing a standing woman, height 59 cm including base, beautiful patina of use, washed, missing the tips of the feet, numerous traces of blows. Dayak Borneo, surely a venerated ancestor, a reliquary hole in the arm. I particularly like its slightly naive, very raw, very primitive appearance, estimated dating first half of the last century. Collected in the 80s by Nina Wolmark, the editor and producer of the cartoons Rahan and Ulysse 41, which the oldest know well!
