A wooden chest crafted using the bentwood technique and lacquered red with natural pigments. Each side features a rich ornamental design painted with rosettes and a black and yellow sawtooth frieze. The lid is slightly domed and fitted with a brass ring.
The interior is painted white.

Attached to sledges or carried on reindeer, these chests mainly contained personal belongings and food during seasonal migrations with the herds.
