FLINTLOCK RIFLE KNOWN AS "MUKHALA" WITH GOLD DAMASCENE DECORATION

Steel, iron, wood, bone, silver, and mother-of-pearl
Overall length: 147.5; Barrel length: 110.5 cm
Caliber measured at the muzzle: 18.5 mm
Round, smoothbore barrel, with gold damascene decoration on the first third, featuring calligraphy and a date; it is secured to the frame by five silver capucines with repoussé decoration.
Flintlock action, known as a “chenapan,” with silver inlays and gold damascene decoration.
The iron trigger guard is damascened with gold.
Wooden stock, line-engraved, with mother-of-pearl teardrop inlays. Bone butt plate and floral motifs at the trigger guard mounting screws.
Steel ramrod.
Shows signs of use; small crack in the frame, damascene work retains its fresh appearance.
