Fang Gabon Byeri Betsi Reliquary Head
Stunning Fang head, guardian of a reliquary basket, in a classic style belonging to the Betsi group, with a rich, oily patina, dark brown wood showing some wear; note the beautiful braided hairstyle, a stately necklace, and copper eyes, with the mouth forming the characteristic pout.Height without base: 48 cm.
