Devotional cross - 18th century (or early 19th)
Handcrafted devotional cross made of unhallmarked white metal, finely chiseled and engraved.
The obverse depicts Christ crucified beneath the INRI cartouche.
At the foot of the Cross is a depiction of Saint Mary Magdalene, recognizable by her contemplative pose and the small cross she holds in her hands.
The reverse is entirely decorated with engraved symbols of the Passion of Christ and Christian emblems, including the fish (Ichthus) and various instruments of the Passion.
The piece has a beautiful antique patina as well as normal signs of wear for an item of this period.
No hallmarks visible.
Condition: in good condition with signs of age, original bail.
