Pair of brass crowns for statues, 19th century
These repoussé brass crowns consist of two arches adorned with beaded relief, resting on an architecturally designed base. At the top is a cross made of four arcs, openwork in its center.
Inside each base, an iron mount secures the crown to the statue's head. The fact that one of these mounts has a smaller diameter than the other suggests that these two crowns originally adorned a statue of the Virgin and Child.
