Wooden Christ, 17th century
This muscular Christ is depicted alive, his head raised toward the sky, with a lock of hair falling over his right shoulder. His arms are raised and his feet are staggered, implying a significant flexion of his right leg. He wears a short perizonium made of a cloth held by a cord.
Good condition, sound wood, with small losses to the nose, fingers, toes, and the cord of the perizonium (see photos).
Total height: 40 cm
From head to feet: 36 cm
From hand to hand: 28 cm
