Large Virgin and Child in silvered or tin-plated bronze, 19th century
Resting on a rectangular base with chamfered corners, the Virgin is depicted standing in contrapposto. She wears a long cloak drawn forward and held under her left arm, upon which she holds the Christ Child, who in his left hand holds an orb surmounted by a gilded cross.
Very good condition, silvering generally well preserved, with some wear on the raised areas (see photos). A mounting bracket is soldered to the base.
