France, Charles X period, circa 1825-1830, electrification circa 1900.
Elegant two-light girandole in fire-gilded bronze and black patinated bronze, adorned with a winged figure of Victoire serving as the central shaft. The antique-inspired female figure rests on a finely chased column base. The moving arms of light feature a rich décor of foliage and foliage ornaments.
Abat-jour in a material evoking parchment, embellished with a decorative border. The quadrangular stepped base is richly worked and chased.
Beautiful example of French decorative arts from the Charles X period, blending neoclassical elegance with late Empire influences.
