Antique French Neo-gothic Silver Chalice With Paten - Liturgical Set

Magnificent French Neo-Gothic antique silver chalice with matching paten, of exceptional craftsmanship and richly decorated with engravings. The chalice features elegant neo-Gothic motifs on the cup, foot, knob and neck, combined with a finely engraved monogram of Christ (Chi-Rho) on the paten.

The exterior is partially gilded, particularly the richly decorated foot, creating a refined contrast with the engraved silver surfaces. The inside of the bowl is silver. The finesse of the engravings and the harmony of the proportions make this an impressive liturgical and collector's piece.

The set bears several French goldsmith's hallmarks, including the Minerve hallmark, the L.B. master hallmark and the French boar's head hallmark on the foot. The internal metal reinforcement piece weighs approx. 79 grams.
