Antique Wax Seal In Solid Silver (800/1000), Decorated With Roses
A delightful antique silver seal, highly decorative with several rose motifs. A small ring sits near the seal itself, and another, larger and wider one, is near the top. At the very top, a complete floral design adorns the seal. It is truly a magnificent piece. The seal is not engraved, so you could have your initials engraved on it. The silver hallmark is visible on the rim, near the seal. It shows the number 800 (for 800 silver) and a maker's mark. It's difficult to determine who made it, as only half of it is visible. On the other side is the number 99.
Condition: In good condition despite its use. The stem appears slightly bent, but this is not disturbing.
