DEPARTEMENTAL GENDARMERIE OFFICER'S BELT PLATE, model 1854, Second Empire. 33825
In gilt bronze, rectangular shape with cut corners, H 7.6 cm, width 9.3 cm with its curvature. It is decorated in the center with an uncrowned imperial eagle holding the sparkling Jupiter spindle in its talons, surmounted by the inscription "GENDARMERIE DEPARTEMENTALE". At the bottom, a ribbon bears the inscription "SURETE PUBLIQUE". On the back, it is complete with trigger guard and hook, as well as two barbs, and is lined with green waxed basane.
