Daum Nancy Art Nouveau Acid-etched Cameo Glass Lamp Base With Dahlia Decor, France, Circa 1900

DAUM – Table lamp base made of red overlay glass on a mottled yellow-orange background with subtle mauve-violet tones. Decorated with acid-etched cameo dahlias. Baluster shape.

Original wrought iron mount with three sinuous claws. The mount is attached to the neck of the lamp with three screws (one screw missing).

The electrical system is probably original, with a screw socket compatible with an E14 bulb; the power cord is missing. The lampshade is missing.

Very good overall condition. The glass is free from cracks and chips. A few light surface micro-scratches from use, consistent with age, do not in any way affect the quality of the cameo work or the translucency of the material. Natural patina to the wrought iron.
