Heavy Solid Silver Sugar Sifter Spoon, 1st Rooster 1798-1809. Late 18th - Early 19th Century
A very beautiful and heavy solid silver sugar sifter spoon.
The spoon is entirely in keeping with 18th-century production. It features a rimmed design in plain silver. The bowl is delicately pierced.
The spoon is hallmarked:
First rooster hallmark for Parisian solid silver, used between 1798 and 1809
Old man's head guarantee hallmark, for the same period
Maker's mark to be identified: OBD (?) with a privy mark composed of three elements, including a crescent
