The Boin Taburet company was founded in 1880 by the partnership of jeweler Emile Taburet and antique dealer Georges Boin, his son-in-law. The quality of the company's work, which is reflected in our box, was recognized at the World's Fairs of 1878 and 1889.
In 1900, Georges Boin partnered with the silversmith Henri under the name "Boin et Henry Orfèvres," and the company changed its name again in 1906 to "Henry Frères et Cie."
