Boucheron: Solid Silver Armorial Boxes. Heraldic Engraving Under Count's Crown.

Magnificent pair of solid silver boxes from the famous luxury house of Boucheron.

The boxes are round, made of plain silver. The edges of the lids are sloping and marked with three lines.

The center of the lids is engraved with a superb coat of arms under a count's crown depicting four eaglets on silver.
I was unable to find the family bearing this coat of arms.

Each box is hallmarked:
. Minerva 1st grade before 1973 for 950/°° silver.
. Silversmith's mark: TFres with a Huguenot for Tetard Frères, a company founded in 1901 following the death of Edmond Tetard, by his sons.

The great luxury houses subcontracted and still subcontract their goldsmithing to great goldsmiths, as is the case here with these boxes made in the Têtards frères workshops.
