19th-century Romantic Rebus Wax Seal/sealing For Lovers. Romantic Era.

A very rare and intriguing 19th-century wax seal with a rebus.

The seal handle is made of turned, blackened wood.

The brass die is engraved with a love rebus:

IL; scythe (tool); M; E; three leaves of…

Which means: You must love me always / much / for a long time.

I am not certain of the meaning of the last symbol.
If they are three holly leaves, perhaps there is a phonetic similarity between "three hollies" and "always"; a symbol of the holly's persistence, which remains evergreen.
If they are three oak leaves, a symbol of durability and strength.
The three leaves evoke quantity.

A charming seal for sealing correspondence to a loved one, and also a beautiful testament to the Romantic era of the 19th century.
