Charming Miniature Portrait Of A Child Painted, Gold Frame. Mid-19th Century, Louis-philippe

Very nice miniature portrait of a child, dating from the middle of the 19th century, probably during the reign of Louis Philippe.

The miniature is oval.
It represents a young child from the front, slightly obliquely. He wears a black garment with a wide lace collar.
The face is fine, the complexion pale, the mouth slightly smiling and the gaze is frank.
The miniature is of very good quality and finely made.

The strapping surrounding the miniature is in 18k gold.

Very nice portrait of a child, which is relatively rare, in a beautiful gold strapping. This miniature was probably to be framed on a velvet background.

4.8 x 3.8 a sight for the only miniature. Good condition. Some dirt on the miniature. Very slight deformation of the perimeter of the frame.
