Krister Waldenburg Kpm Porcelain Boy With Wheelbarrow Posy Holder, Germany, C. 1910
Decorative figural porcelain posy holder depicting a young boy pushing a wheelbarrow composed of four bud receptacles. The warm ivory-cream porcelain body is decorated with fine pastel floral sprigs and subtle pink edging. The modelling is refined and balanced, reflecting the decorative taste of the Edwardian period.
The underglaze blue KPM mark identifies production at the Krister factory in Waldenburg, Silesia. By the mid-19th century, Krister had established itself as a leading European manufacturer, receiving awards at the Paris International Expositions of 1852 and 1867. The KPM initials continue to signify quality German porcelain.
A distinctive early 20th-century cabinet object combining narrative charm and functional design.
