Rare Royal Dux African boy and girl, c.1880. No pink triangle cartouches—this is a known prototype or unique commission case, confirmed by identical pieces in the National Czech & Slovak Museum (object nos. 2017.093.0024 and 2017.093.0025),
Both have impressed numbers “78” & “12”.
Large size, biscuit finish to skin, glaze to garments.
Boy 32cm, 989g; girl 32cm, 986g.
Condition: a small chip on the edge of the jug behind her back and a small hairline crack in the same place, otherwise in excellent antique condition.
