"Gilt Bronze Shield-shaped Clock - Empire Period "
A gilt bronze clock in the form of a shield surmounted by four pine cones at the corners and an armillary sphere at its apex. Parisian movement with striking of the hours and half-hours on a bell with a hood. Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, a railway track for the minutes with Arabic numerals every 15 minutes and gilt pendulums every 5 minutes. Signed A. Lemoine in Paris, clockmaker listed during the Empire. Gilt and chased brass hands. The mechanism has been serviced and is complete with its pendulum and key.
