Travel clock circa 1870. Composed of a large enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours and a railway for the minutes, fancy hands. Signed GITEAU - pupil of Bréguet - 140, Palais-Royal. Simple gilt bronze case, topped with a removable handle. Cylinder escapement holder. The mechanism has been revised and works perfectly. Weekly winding. Original key. Pierre GITEAU, patented clockmaker to the king, was a pupil of Breguet and active in Paris from 1811-1870
