Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Cartel
Louis XV style gilt bronze wall clock. Cabinet inspired by rocaille shapes, lively and asymmetrical leading to floral motifs. Largely pierced, the bronze reveals grilles decorated with fabrics. Paris movement with chiming of the hours and half hours on a bell by chaperon. Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours, railway for the minutes and Arabic numerals every 5 minutes. Hands in cut and chiseled brass. Revised mechanism, complete with its pendulum and key.
