Travel Clock Circa 1840 With "one-piece Case" Alarm

Travel clock circa 1840 with alarm. The cabinet in only two parts, characteristic of the first travel clocks with 5 beveled glasses. The upper part is in fact in one piece. The large panoramic glass revealing the escapement holder is also a characteristic. This way of making travel clock cabinets quickly evolved, to make way for the cabinet in multiple pieces, our example is therefore quite rare. Movement with weekly winding, cylinder escapement holder, Mechanism revised and guaranteed for 2 years. We are at your disposal for any request, please contact us by phone (06 01 49 14 24) or by email (remarot@gmail.com). Bibliography: Book "Carriage clock" by Charles Alix and Peter Bennert. P. 157 and following. Explanations of the first "one piece case" models with illustrations.
