A gilt bronze Empire period clock. Mythological representation of Eros holding his bow attached to a pole crowned with a wreath. Two dolphins at the base. Fine quality of chasing and gilding. Enamel dial (minor damage to the winding hole) with Roman numerals for the hours and a railway track for the minutes, blued steel Breguet-style hands. Round Paris movement with striking mechanism on the hour and half-hour on a bell mounted on a hood. Wire suspension. Serviced mechanism. With key and pendulum.
