"Naples, Circa 1830. Marquetry Box. Souvenir Of The Grand Tour"
Here's an easy souvenir to bring back from your trip to Naples: a marquetry box decorated with scenes of everyday life, here depicting a mandolin player and two fishermen wearing the famous Masianello cap, who listens to him. The sides are covered with geometric straw marquetry. The lid of the box has suffered some wear, with a few small pieces of straw missing, but overall it's acceptable and, above all, charming.
