A very beautiful and original Afghan doormat. This type of decorative object was proudly hung above the entrance of nomadic tents. Their motifs, representing a clan or group, indicated the ethnic origin of the inhabitants. Woven and knotted wool upon wool in the traditional way. Approximately one centimeter thick velvet. Very high-quality wool that gives the natural hues their full brilliance and depth. The indigo blue is stunning and seems to flow across the surface like the ocean depths.
