Very elegant Kazakh rug, woven and knotted wool on wool in the traditional way. Beautiful quality wool, very soft. The pile is rather short, as is the case in most antique rugs from the Caucasus and Central Asia. The colors are deep and luminous, having retained their freshness over time.
