Pair Of Mahogany "bergère" Armchairs, Empire Period – Early 19th Century
A pair of Empire-style bergère armchairs in solid mahogany. Each armchair features a generously padded, straight back with a mahogany band carved in the center with a floral and scroll motif within a lozenge shape. High, cuffed armrests rest on straight front legs, also carved in relief. The saber-shaped rear legs are turned outwards for added stability. The slightly curved seat rail is decorated with a rectangular carving of flowers and scrolls. The restored frame is in perfect condition; however, the studded velvet upholstery and the seat with its cushion are original. Period: Early 19th century. Excellent condition of the frame after restoration in our workshop. Original seat and upholstery. Waxed finish. Delivery available upon request in France and internationally. Dimensions: Width: 64 cm, Depth: 56 cm, Height: 99 cm, Seat height: 45 cm. Reference: 030125
