Atypical Armchair In Solid Mahogany, Animalier - 1950

This solid mahogany seat, of African origin, has a slightly curved seat with small hollows. Its armrests are carved with ferocious, fantastic animals, also used on the top of the corners of the backrest, on which a bird appears in an openwork circle. The whole rests on these same animals, smaller, arranged on a rectangular base. The craftsmanship of this small format seat is very rare since it is designed from a single block of wood, and shows a lot of imagination in its creation.
