Domed Chest In Solid Teak - 2nd Half Of The Nineteenth

Large solid teak chest with a slightly domed top made from a single plank of wood. The faces and sides, also fashioned from a single teak plank, without joints, are assembled at dovetail angles. The chest has a wood species remarkable for the beauty of its grain. On the front, the trunk is lined with two buttons turned in ebony with the center of the bone. In the middle, we find a large iron strap hinged downwards and entering an entrance with a lock in working order. In the rear part, we find two straps coming on top and descending on the lower part with an iron hinge. On each side, this chest is decorated with a handle with an iron plate. Inside, we discover a decorative painting illustrated with flowers and foliage on a sky blue background. The cover is held by an iron compass. This large well-crafted chest, in solid teak, has a very beautiful patina. It will delight with its rarity and authenticity.
