Pair Of Blond Mahogany Dolphin Head Armchairs - Early 19th Century
These armchairs rest on sabre legs. Lotiform decoration at the level of the connecting stops surmounted on either side by a dolphin's head, forming armrest consoles.
These in crook are remarkable in finish and elegance, fleshy, well rounded and deliciously tapered, ending in a tail joining the amount of the backrest decorated with stylized scales. Backrests with slightly curved capitals, the tops are covered with a beautiful and discreet molded barette; the rear assembly in casing attests to the period (circa 1815).
Perfect stability and comfortable seats, completely redone recently by a professional upholsterer, and covered with an elegant speckled golden yellow cotton fabric (fabric available in case of incident and seat protector, see photo).
