Paul Eugène Ledoux was born on November 18, 1884 in Ilkirch-Graffenstaden and died on September 17, 1960 in Cannes. He received prestigious training, starting at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Strasbourg, then attended the Kunstakademie in Munich, and finally trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. After a few years in the French army, he returned to Alsace and taught drawing at the Lycée Kléber and the École d'Architecture in Strasbourg. He exhibited in Alsace in Colmar and also in Paris, at the Salon d'Automne, he also won the gold medal at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in 1925.
