Characteristic thumb rest in a cut-out shape and engraved with a cherub holding a rock pick in both hands to free a Heart from a rock, all topped with the engraving "Petit à Petit". Border engraving "Genevieve Gosse" on one side and "N Lainé" on the other. Charge and Discharge Hallmark for ROUEN 1721-26, Common House Hallmark for ROUEN 1722 (I Crowned) and Hallmark (on thumb rest) of Master Goldsmith Antoine LAGENET received in 1715.
