Object description :

"Charles Christofle Pair Of Candelabra Known As “table Ends” Solid Silver 19th Century"
An elegant pair of solid silver candelabra, known as table candelabra, with five light arms, resting on a wavy base with canted corners. The base, the baluster stem, and the candle holders are richly chased with a Regency decoration. The set is lavishly decorated with finely chased motifs of scrolls, foliage, and cartouches, attesting to high-quality goldsmithing.
A work by Charles Christofle, a major figure in 19th-century Parisian goldsmithing, this pair perfectly illustrates the historicist taste of the period, reinterpreting early 18th-century forms with refinement.
