Pewter ewer with a flared S-shaped neck known as the “Helmet of Mars” style, a handle with long gadroons and a draped end, and a fluted, ornate base.
It bears the engraved coat of arms of an abbot, which is “gules with two gold-masoned towers”.
Hallmark of Jean II PEUDEFIN, who became a master craftsman around 1694: a rampant lion on the left, crowned / FIN / I.P
Height: 26.9 cm.
