A fine modern view of London and the River Thames with Westminster Abbey and Big Ben in the left foreground, Westminster Bridge and County Hall in the right foreground, then Hungerford Bridge (before the Golden Jubilee Bridges), Waterloo Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge, with St Paul's Cathedral in the background. Pen note on the back of the frame: 'RMD Robertson (1899‑1966). Westminster Bridge Scale drawing for Mural on Canadian Pacific Liner: 'Empress of Dream' launched 1956. One of a series of 4 Murals for the liner, the other murals were Liverpool Docks & two Views of Quebec. Robertson also did the murals for the Empress of Britain launched in 1957. » Unfortunately, we have not found any trace of the ship "Empress of Dreams" which does not appear to have existed. It could rather be a design for the “Empress of Britain”. Ref. A13-88
