Original anonymous drawing: Palace of Holyrood in Edinburgh. [1830] Indian ink and black ink wash. 31 x 41.5 cm at sight, in a frame of 41.5 x 51.5 cm. Dated lower left "1830" on a stonemason's stone. Vintage Marie-Louise paper watermarked “J. Whatman 1818”. The entrance to the castle, manned by a guard, is topped with the royal crown. The Palace of Holyroodhouse is the palace of the British crown in Scotland. It is located in Edinburgh, opposite the Scottish Parliament.
