“Factory Door – Elevation” (Nièvre). Pen and watercolor. 43 x 57.7 cm visible, under a 51.6 x 67.7 cm marie-louise. Doubled drawing, with restored tears in the right-hand part. School drawing with the stamps of the École Centrale des Arts et Manufactures at the top right. On the door entablature: “Forges de la Nièvre, 1893” (certainly the date the drawing was made). Legible inscriptions on the plaques, on either side of the doors: “Forges de la Nièvre, Soc. anonymous, capital 4,000,000”, “National Exhibitions: Compiègne 77, Paris 79, Blois 83, Tours 92”, “International Exhibitions: Paris 49, Paris 55, Paris 67, Paris 78, Paris 89” and “International Exhibitions: London 61, Philadelphia 76, Melbourne 81, Amsterdam 85, Antwerp 85”. Notes on the left of the drawing give the width between the wheel arches, the height under the keystone and the height of the pediment. Ref. 9-62 / 11-63
