"Framed Watercolor. View Of The Garden Of The Titon Hotel In Paris, Rue Du Faubourg-poissonnière. "
Watercolor. 32.5 x 46 cm, mounted on white paper and in a 62 x 74 cm frame. Corners of the frame are damaged and some chips. Light foxing on the white paper support. Inscription in the lower right corner of the support: "Jardin de l'Hôtel". The Hôtel Titon was built in 1776 by the architect Jean-Charles Delafosse. It is located at 58, rue du Faubourg-Poissonnière (10th arrondissement). The garden, represented in our drawing with a kiosk, a fountain, a small temple and statues has completely disappeared, divided up to make way for the Cité Paradis, built from 1893. The avant-corps of the garden facade of the Hôtel Titon is still visible and clearly recognizable today at the back of the Cité Paradis. The Hôtel Titon was partially listed as a Historic Monument in 2007. Ref. A11-3
