C.1870 Shell Cameo Of A Bacchante 14ct Gold And Enamel Brooch
A very finely carved 19th-century, c.1870, shell cameo of a Bacchante or Maenad in a 14ct gold (electronically tested) and white enamel archeological revival brooch mount. There is a ring to enable conversion to a pendant if desired. There are faint (too much so to photograph) initials, possibly LK, at lower right on the back of the shell.
Height: 4.3cm (1.7in)
Width: 3.7cm (1.4in)
