Oil on canvas depicting a nude woman in an armchair. The scene is intimate, the woman's face is slightly turned towards the wall and does not seem aware of the artist's gaze.
The decor is minimalist: a few light fabrics, a few posters or paintings on the wall, and a green armchair. Perhaps this is a view of the artist's studio, of his model at rest.

The brushstroke is vigorous, the paste thick in places.
The work is in very good condition. It is signed lower right. It is offered in a modern cream lacquered frame, in good condition.

This work was created by Simone Besançon-Ruetsch, born in 1902 and who spanned the century, since she died in 2003. S. Briançon-Ruetsch is related to the group of painters from Lyon. She produced numerous portraits and self-portraits, still lifes and some landscapes.
