Grey Weather On The Rhône In Lyon – Oil On Canvas – Dated 1911

Oil on canvas mounted on cardboard, depicting the Rhône and one of the characteristic bridges that crosses it in Lyon.

The artist titled his work "Gray Weather." The sky occupies a large part of the surface, it is filled with clouds in different shades of gray. The deck of the bridge merges with the horizon line. Below it appears the river, a beautiful shade of green. In the foreground we see a large flat boat moored, its oars resting on the bank.

The work is titled and dated at the bottom right.

The work has simply been placed on a cardboard background (we see the small pinholes in the 4 corners). It is placed under a mat and under glass, in a modern frame in gray and gilded lacquered wood. Everything is in excellent condition.
