"Large & Beautiful Canvas Circa 1920-1930...two Young Women Reading A Letter"
Large & pleasant painting from the 1920s-1930s which represents two young women side by side who are reading a letter with great attention... The canvas is not signed, but chance or coincidence, one has the impression that the author responded to a work from 1921 by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) entitled "The reading of the letter": indeed, in this canvas "Picasso" shows two young men reading a letter, with on their faces an expression of gravity which suggests that they are concerned by the content of the letter... In the canvas proposed here, it is a bit of the same tension that one feels... - at the level of chromatism, it is rather the palette of Marie Laurencin (1883-1956) that one would think - Canvas size: 65 cm x 54 cm Old frame (some missing): 74 cm x 63 cm - the canvas is just fixed with double-sided tape on a flexible cardboard / ask me for others photos if needed -
