"Large Landscape Of Southern Ardèche - Impressionist By François Dehaspe 1874-1950 -"
Large & luminous impressionist painting from the 1920s-1930s which represents a vast landscape of the south of the Ardèche with a village on the edge of a river... The painting is signed by the painter François Joseph Dehaspe (1874-1950) an excellent artist of the Belgian School, to whom the Bénézit devotes a good chapter and whose biography can be found on the Wikipedia site: he was a student at the School of Fine Arts in Brussels (his hometown) and exhibited regularly in the main salons including that of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, at the Salon des Artistes Français, at the Indépendants and he was invited to the Salon des Tuileries... note: one of the attractions of the work offered here is its beautiful luminosity which places this landscape among the most beautiful created by this artist...
